About Us

JMP Marine Service is a marine systems based company set up by Jason & Nicola Phillips. With an aim to offer a service to customers from basic servicing of marine mechanical equipment and repair through to complete overhauls and replacement installs. We are also a Humphree dealer, which offers OEM and retro fit stabilisation equipment and so we support, service and install Humphree products. With Jason and Jay currently based in Hamble Point Marina, at the mouth of The River Hamble, we are able to serve the local market. JMP Marine Services have a fully equipped workshop and works van enabling us to carry out jobs our customers require of us in the local area and afar.

Jason, being in the industry since 2002 has many years’ experience on many marine systems, from engines, transmissions, stabilisation systems, DC systems, Hydraulic systems and stern gear systems. Being trained by Volvo Penta UK and working on their products at dealer level for 18 years means we are able to specialise in Volvo Penta supply, servicing and repair.

Jay

Apprentice

Jay joined as an apprentice and is fast learning the ways in which to service, repair and replace the above systems. he has already achieved City in Guilds Level 2 along with the ability to service 13-75 hp yacht engine up to 500HP Motor boat engines, and transmissions and is able to carry out many more complex jobs while under guidance and is now looking to gain further experience on all of the systems we work on.
